Investor Charter in respect of Research Analyst (RA)

A. Vision and Mission Statements for Investors

  • Vision: Invest with knowledge & safety.
  • Mission: Every investor should be able to invest in right investment products based on their needs, manage and monitor them to meet their goals, access reports, and enjoy financial wellness.

B. Details of Business Transacted by the Research Analyst

  • Publish research reports based on research activities.
  • Provide an independent, unbiased view on securities.
  • Offer unbiased recommendations, disclosing financial interests in recommended securities.
  • Provide research recommendations based on publicly available information and known observations.
  • Conduct an annual audit.

C. Details of Services Provided to Investors

  • Onboarding of Clients.
  • Distribute research reports and recommendations to clients without discrimination.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding publication of research reports until available in the public domain.

D. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

In case of any grievance or complaint:

  • Investors should approach the concerned research analyst for resolution within 30 days.
  • Lodge a complaint with SEBI on SEBI’s SCORES portal for centralized web-based complaints redressal.

For physical complaints:

E. Expectations from Investors

Responsibilities of investors:

  • Do’s:

    1. Always deal with SEBI registered Research Analysts.
    2. Ensure the Research Analyst has a valid registration certificate.
    3. Check for SEBI registration number.
    4. Refer to the list of SEBI registered Research Analysts available on SEBI’s website.
    5. Pay attention to disclosures in research reports before investing.
    6. Pay Research Analyst through banking channels only and maintain signed receipts.
    7. Check research recommendations before buying securities or applying in public offers.
    8. Clarify doubts with your Research Analyst before acting on recommendations.
    9. Inform SEBI about Research Analysts offering assured or guaranteed returns.

  • Don’ts:

    1. Do not provide funds for investment to the Research Analyst.
    2. Avoid luring advertisements or market rumors.
    3. Do not get attracted to limited period discounts or incentives offered by Research Analysts.
    4. Do not share login credentials and passwords of trading and demat accounts.
